13 august 2008 - Shanghai, South Railway Station. Sleeper coach is a special type in our land. If the route is longer than 500KM, man like to take this type for a more comfortable trip. ;-)

maybe longer than 2000km,for example,from Guangzhou(south China) to Harbin(east-north China)

I took a sleeper coach from Erlian (the Mongolian border) to Beijing, but to be honest, I found it very uncomfortable. The beds were more smaller than in a rail couchette car. Or do you mean there may be different interior arrangements? It was with two lenghtwise aisles, so three the beds in three paralel lines.
