Minsktrans adopted German standards - they write-off 8-10 year old buses, trams and trolleybuses and replace them with new ones
Germans are selling 10-14 buses to Poland or Bulgaria for 1/5 of their initial price
I think those "German standards" in reality are secondary reasons. As I said earlier, Nemans, as well as older versions of MAZ (early 103`s and especially crappy 101 and 104) are assembled very poorly. I`m not expert on buses from eastern Europe but judging from their short lifespan (data from Fotobus) you will hardly find a bus from 90`s in a good or at least average condition.
I wondering if there is situation that bus is officially scrapped but it goes back to manufacturer and it is assembled again as new bus. This happens to almost all ZIU in Moscow.
I doubt this. At least Neman is not that case. It seems that they are not assembled anymore. P.S. can you make "normal" models for this manufacturer? Now every time I edit record of Neman (with intention to clone record; in Fotobus no one takes pictures of these and here no one even adds them to database :P), model is reset to ----.
