19 august 2010 - Budapest, Ors vezer tere. Magyar busz turns as good as it cans. All of buses of 200 series in Budapest have Voith or ZF automatic gearboxes. In a conversation with old bus driver I was told that in Budapest automatic Praga 2M70 gearboxes were tested in early 1970s. Supposedly, they were manufactured on Czech license. I was also told that since late 1970s there was no Ikarus with manual gearbox in BKV. May anyone verify this info?

I'm shocked! So had they really used Praga gearboxes since 1972, and then - ZF and Voith?
Widzieliśmy coś dziwnego - skrzynkę na kluczyk z podpiętą rurą - przy przednim siedzeniu na lewym nadkolu 1 osi. PKM&WPK ma zdjęcie.
@JP. Yes. Ik 260 & 280 were "debut" with Praga gearbox, Voith and ZF gearboxes were appeared in the mid-80s at BKV.
We still have two IK260 and over a dozen IK280 with manual gearbox :]
